We’re all excited for warmer weather, being outside, and especially enjoying the First Friday events. In Leonardtown, First Fridays are a wonderful evening of browsing the various shops and wandering around the square seeing and being seen. Shops that are not usually open late stay open until 8 p.m. for the festivities. We often offer something a little special for our visitors. In the past, we’ve had yarn tastings, and open knitting, but this month we thought we’d try a new concept.
For this First Friday, March 5th, we’re kicking off a Knit-Along for the beautiful Tessa Vest, a fresh and pretty addition to your spring wardrobe. Tessa is knit in one piece, so there’s very little finishing. You can choose to work the little ruffled edge, or you can keep the edges smooth. At the kick-off we’ll enjoy a nice beverage while we go over the pattern. You’ll learn a fool-proof cast on technique for never running out of tail on a long-tail cast on, and more.
The knit along will last exactly one month, so in April, we’ll gather to admire our work and award some fun prizes. We’ll have a prize for the first knitter to complete Tessa. Everyone who completes Tessa by the finale event April 2nd will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Crazy for Ewe gift certificate.
Please purchase materials for the knit-along at Crazy for Ewe before the event, or come a bit early and let us help you select something lovely.
