THE SWEATER KNITTING COMMUNITY YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE LOOKING FOR

Bring your questions and get real answers. Come for the help. Stay for the friendships.

For more than 20 years, knitters have been sitting around the table at Crazy for Ewe.

They bring their projects and their problems. They ask questions without embarrassment. They celebrate each other's wins with the particular enthusiasm that only another knitter understands. They talk about patterns and yarn and fit and finishing — and then, inevitably, they talk about books and life and everything else.

Club Crazy for Ewe is that table. Online. Twice a week. For knitters wherever you are.

Bring your questions and get real answers — from me, and from fellow members who have likely wrestled with the exact same thing you're facing right now.

Come for the help. Stay for the friendships.

What Happens Here — Flock Talk, Magic Table, Community

Flock Talk
Tuesdays at 4pm · Thursdays at noon Eastern

Live, open conversations twice a week. Sometimes there are burning questions that drive the whole hour. Sometimes things bubble up more quietly — a technique someone's been wondering about, a pattern someone's considering, a win that needs celebrating with people who will truly appreciate it.

I'm there every time. But so are your fellow members — and very often it's another Club member who answers your question first, because she's had the exact same issue and solved it. That's what community actually looks like.

Magic Table
Tuesdays at 7:30pm · Sundays at 5:30pm Eastern

I'm not there. That's the point.

Magic Table is an open room in the community where members show up for each other — to knit alongside someone, to talk through a pattern, to not knit alone. Come and see who's around, or arrange to meet a specific member there. No agenda. Just company.

The PlyGround Community
Always open

Between live sessions, the community is where members share what they're working on, ask questions, celebrate finished objects, and occasionally commiserate about a project that is decidedly not going as planned. Questions get answered. Friendships develop. Up at 2am and want to share a win? Post it here.

Knitters who live nowhere near a yarn store finally find their people.

The Framework

Club is organized around the Eight Domains of Sweater Knitting — the framework that makes confident sweater knitting possible:

You don't need to know these domains to join Club. You'll come to understand them through the work we do together. But having this shared language means that when you bring a question to Flock Talk, we can get to the heart of it quickly — and you'll leave understanding not just what to do, but why.

Already completed the Crazy for Ewe Sweater System? Club is exactly where you go next. The Sweater System is the language. Club is the conversation.

Who This Is For

Perfect for you if:

  • You're a capable knitter who wants to go deeper — into fit, into finishing, into understanding rather than just following<

  • You live far from a yarn store and you miss sitting around a table with other knitters

  • You want guidance you can trust from someone who has spent twenty years helping knitters understand sweaters

  • You want to knit sweaters you're proud to wear — and enjoy the process of getting there

  • You completed the Sweater System and you're ready to put the framework to work on real projects

Not for you if:

  • You're looking for a structured course with lessons and homework — that's the Crazy for Ewe Sweater System

  • You're an absolute beginner who is still working on consistent fabric — build those foundations first

  • You prefer to figure things out yourself by trial and error.

Here's What MembersAre Saying...

Amy

My membership in Club Crazy for Ewe has changed my knitting. My sweater knitting used to be hit or miss as to polish and fit. When I joined the club, I found a path to learning how to improve my sweater knitting in every way. By using accurate body measurements and reading pattern schematics correctly, I began to see those numbers as information rather than scary things I wanted to avoid. The result has been many sweaters that I love and am proud to wear. Ellen’s systematic teaching and the camaraderie of other knitters in the club are beyond valuable. There is always help and encouragement.

Morgan

I joined the club when it first started and what a blessing it has been. I came in having knit several sweaters so I wasn't sure what to expect. Ellen has so much great advice and you learn the things you didn't know you didn't know. She's full of tips and tricks for making your sweaters go from home-made to a more professional look. Ellen is very helpful and patient with questions, finding different ways to explain if you're not following her explanations. She truly cares about you and making sure you understand and are happy with your sweaters. ‌This club really is about the members.  Ellen makes sure that it is about the members. She welcomes suggestions for future Flock Talks, answers questions that arise and if she hasn't done something before, she will do it alongside us or learn it so she can share with the group. And then there is the community. Everyone is so supportive and uplifting of each other. We have laughed, cried and everything in between. It is truly a great group of ladies.

A note from Ellen...

Hi, I’m Ellen.

I've been knitting sweaters since 1983. I've been running a yarn store since 2004. And for more than twenty years I've been sitting at a table with knitters — answering questions, working through problems, celebrating what works and puzzling over what doesn't.

I'm not a designer with a signature method I want everyone to follow. I'm a sweater mentor — someone who helps knitters understand the structure beneath the pattern so they can approach any sweater with clarity and confidence.

Having someone right there with you — answering your specific question, working through the sticky bit in real time — is different from all the books and videos in the world put together. That's what Flock Talk is. That's what Club is.

I'd love to have you at the table.
