Hi all! Most of you have received your weekly newsletter, I think, but I know that many of you have not. I’m not sure what’s up, but the good folks at Mad Mimi are trying hard to help me figure it out. In the mean time, you can surely see it here. So frustrating! Highlights you might want to review include this Sunday, when we are having our Show and Share Brunch at Cafe des Artistes. The Leonardtown shop will be opening at 2 p.m so that Amy can enjoy the brunch as well – please feel free to come by the Leonardtown shop after the brunch in case you’ve never had a chance to visit.
Also, check out our First Friday project, Iced, which we’ll be doing at both Leonardtown and La Plata. We’re using beautiful Sweet Pea cotton for a super soft and luscious spring sweater you’ll wear all year. Sweet Pea has twice the yardage as the yarn the pattern suggests, so you’ll need half as many skeins. You could also work it in beautiful Noro Furisode, a cotton and silk blend that I call summer Iro. Very wonderful to use and great colors, as always from Mr. Noro.
Lastly, for those of you on Facebook, I have set up a page for the shop with posts and photos etc. If you are on Facebook just search for Crazy for Ewe and “like” it and you’ll be on board for the newsfeeds etc. It even has a little forum for conversations. It’s different from Ravelry in that everyone seems to be on Facebook 24/7, and Ravelry is something we check when we’re looking for specific information. Whichever social medium you prefer, we’re trying to make sure that you can connect with us as often as you need. That being said, there’s no substitute for coming in and sitting at the table with us for a while, which we hope you will do. Whether it’s the actual table or the virtual table, you are always welcome here.
